Your chance to take on The 3 Peaks BIG WALK and help raise money for Industry Charity NewstrAid.

NewstrAid is looking for teams and individuals to join them for a walking challenge this September.

The BIG WALK will take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks over the weekend of September 16^th & 17^th 2023. Involving a 24 mile round trip including 1385m (5200ft) ascent, the challenge will tackle the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m) in under 12 hours.

Tom Rodger, Operations Director for NewstrAid, said “So far we have had a fantastic response to this event and already have three teams from across the newspaper and magazine industry taking part and raising money for the charity.”

Participants can take part either as part of a team or as an individual. Teams are recommended to be a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 6.

Tom added: “Anyone taking part in the walk will need to organise their own accommodation and travel but other than that, there is no cost to getting involved in the challenge, we just ask that each participant or team raises sponsorship for NewstrAid by setting up a Just Giving Page linked to the NewstrAid fundraising page.”

This event is being organised by NewstrAid’s East Midlands Area Committee and is being generously supported by independent magazine supplier, Retail Sparks Connect, http://www.retailsparkconnect.com/.
